Paul has managed SIS LIVE Special Cameras, formerly part of the BBC, for more than 20 years. He and his award winning team work closely with producers to create exciting, attention grabbing new camera angles, positions and locations.
Examples of their groundbreaking work include the stump-mounted cameras in cricket and the underwater tracking camera, Halibut HD.
Paul has overseen many contracts including the World Rally Championship, the Isle of Mann TT and the British Touring Car Championship. He has also previously worked on a variety of prestigious international events, such as the Asian Games and the Olympic Games and New Delhi Commonwealth Games in 2010.
At the heart of Special Cameras’ success is Paul’s philosophy of working in a cooperative and innovative way with customers, manufacturers, rights holders and race teams to design and build bespoke camera systems using the latest technology.
Paul and his team will be delivering the specialist camera requirements at the 34th Americas cup, a three year contract that finishes in San Francisco in 2014.
