SIS LIVE provided multiple services to major broadcasters on the 18th September for the Scottish Referendum after a long eight months of intricate planning. This huge political event sparked attention across the world and SIS LIVE was crucial in ensuring breaking news stories were broadcast to audiences throughout the day. SIS LIVE sent a total of 42 engineers and camera operators to 24 locations to keep the public connected as the decision unfolded. Our 28 satellite newsgathering vehicles (SNG) transmitted the content to our two network operations centres (NOC) using a total of 126 MHz of satellite capacity. The successful delivery of this historic event emphasised SIS LIVE’s capability to provide complete connectivity solutions.
