Sports Personality of the Year, London, UK

Having been involved with nearly all the major sports events of 2012 it was quite apt that SIS LIVE worked to deliver live HD TV coverage of the Sports Personality of the Year Awards for BBC Sport, plus additional programming for BBC’s Red Button services. Honda Live Advert, Madrid

In 2008 SIS LIVE supported the delivery of a landmark and critically acclaimed live advert for Honda featuring 45 people sky-diving in formation over Madrid under the tag-line ‘difficult is worth doing.’ The complex and impressive nature of this production allowed SIS LIVE to demonstrate its full end to end broadcast capabilities including special cameras, RF systems, OB and uplinks. Freeze Festival, London, UK

SIS LIVE provided outside broadcast services at Freeze Festival, filming the skiing and snowboarding competitions. Images were mixed, recorded and distributed live to jumbo screens, commentator and judges positions by SISCaster, the SIS LIVE designed and built compact production vehicle. Innovative onboard technology allowed the entire event to be covered by a crew of only four people. Read whole article

Emmerdale, Yorkshire, UK

On 17th October at 7pm a special live episode of the popular British soap opera Emmerdale was broadcast on ITV1. Immediately following this on ITV2 was a live, hour-long behind the scenes. SIS LIVE provided all outside broadcast and technical facilities for both the ITV1 and ITV2 broadcasts. Read whole article

France TV’s Mobile TV studio, London, UK

SIS LIVE and France Televisions have achieved an historic premiere in broadcasting, delivering the first ever live broadcasts on-the-move from a mobile TV studio using state-of-the-art RF technology, remote cameras and a skilled operational crew. Tour De France presentation coverage, France

Broadcasting a 3497km cycle race comes with its own unique challenges, with the production compound relocating 20 times in just 22 days. SIS LIVE, working with clients V-squared, delivered coverage of the historic 2012 Tour de France races using their purpose-built trailer. Read whole article

Red or Black? Borehamwood, UK

SIS LIVE was honoured to receive the contract to supply facilities for a second series of ITV’s Saturday night game show Red or Black? OB 8 was deployed to Elstree Film Studios for a month to record 7 shows between the large arena venue and main studio set. Read whole article

A classical HD Stream, London, UK

SIS LIVE filmed this very special performance by virtuoso pianist Valentina Lisitsa at the Royal Albert Hall, captured in full HD for a DVD release through Decca/Universal. The recital was also streamed live in HD through YouTube, an internet first for a classical concert. Read whole article

Diamond Jubilee, London, UK

SIS LIVE was involved in a range of events across the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee weekend, delivering outside coverage from 10 sites using 9 OB trucks and over 250 crew deployed across London. The London Marathon, London, UK

SIS LIVE provided comprehensive coverage of the London Marathon for BBC Sport via 4 OB units, 2 production uplinks, 6 uplinks, 4 motorbikes, 2 helicopters, and a fixed wing aircraft. The race was broadcast live in high definition for the 1st time in 2012. Read whole article

SIS LIVE provided outside broadcast and uplink services for the television coverage of the BBC Proms season. Using a range of special cameras and specialist audio production equipment they were awarded an RTS Craft & Design award in 2010. Read whole article

Wimbledon Championships 2012, London, UK

BBC Sport’s host coverage of the Wimbledon Championships continued in 2012, with SIS LIVE providing technical facilities for HD coverage from 9 courts. New for 2012 was a gallery built, integrated and managed by SIS LIVE to handle feeds from the post-match interview media rooms. Read whole article

Red Bull's Revolutions in Sound, London, UK

SIS LIVE collaborated with Red Bull to broadcast 30 music gigs from 30 of the London Eye pods simultaneously live on the internet, online radio and to a live audience.
