David has 30 years of experience in the broadcast and telecommunications markets, is well known and regarded by UK and international broadcasters and has a reputation for an innovative approach to business and management.
In October 2018, David oversaw the sale of SIS LIVE to the NEP Group and in December 2018, the re-branding of SIS LIVE to NEP Connect. This marks an exciting time for the NEP Connect business, with ambitious targets for further growth and opportunity to maximise the synergies to develop connectivity solutions to the global media and broadcast markets.
Having previous success in both commercial and technical director roles, David was appointed as Managing Director of SIS LIVE in 2006 and was responsible for establishing them as a world leader in the broadcasting industry as well as the UK’s fastest growing media connectivity company. David devised a strategic approach of focusing on critical fibre and satellite solutions and moving away from the more traditional SNG work that was once the predominant service offering of SIS LIVE.
Prior to working for SIS LIVE, David was a successful communications officer and senior systems engineer, overseeing communications centre builds on new ships and working in various management positions within the Royal Fleet Auxiliary (RFA), with multiple deployments, including heading the RFA Chemical Warfare team during the Gulf War in 1990.
David is a keen sportsman and is currently training hard in an attempt to improve his 5 and 10K times in preparation for hitting a new age category (50)! He enjoys spending time with his three children, listening to music, drinking red wine and cooking. He also has a passion for buying Italian classic cars that invariably let him down!
